MOU Signing with York Saint John (YSJ) University of UK

Sky is not the limit… we explore new horizons! By the grace of Allah Almighty once again we are proud to broaden the horizon of education for our students with our worldwide collaborations. Of late, we have extended our network of international collaborations to United Kingdom by signing an MOU with York Saint John (YSJ) University of UK.

On Friday, September 11, 2009, the delegation comprising of two representatives from York St. John University, Mr. David Maugham Brown (Deputy Vice Chancellor) and Prof. Marion Yates (Deputy Director YSJ International Collaborations) arrived at Raiwind Road Campus at 9 o’clock sharp. A red carpet welcome awaited the guests with the sweet aroma of bouquets presented by the students and the management of Superior University. After their meeting with the Rector, Director Quality Assurance and Program Managers, the guests were taken to the courtyard where they were accompanied by Pro-Rector, Dr. Sikander Khan, our Chief Guest Speaker Punjab Assembly, Minister for Education and Mr. Majid Zahoor (Nazim GOR Lahore).

The ceremony started with recitation of Holy Quran, thereafter, Prof. Haseeb Khan hosted the ceremony and Rector Prof. Dr. Ch. Abdur Rehman welcomed the distinguished guests in his speech. It was followed by the thanksgiving speech of Prof. Dr. Sikander Khan (Pro-Rector). Mr. Brown expressed his pleasure of working with the Muslims in Pakistan and finally Honourable Speaker and Minister gave their speeches. The memorandum was signed by the worthy Mr. David M. Brown and Dr. Sikander Khan (Pro-Rector). Before the end of the ceremony, the following awards were given away to certain distinguished staff members of Superior Group of Colleges.


Keeping the tradition alive, an auditorium was named as York St. John Auditorium which was inaugurated by the delegation.
