A Result Driven Expert -- Dr. Irfan Amir Appointed as Dean Management Sciences
Dr. Irfan Amir, former Dean University of Central Punjab Lahore, a highly proficient and internationally travelled Marketing Professor equipped with a doctorate in marketing from Manchester Business School, U.K has joined Superior University as Dean Management Sciences.
Facilitated with the Quaid-e-Azam Merit Scholarship awarded for pursuing higher studies abroad by the Ministry of Education, Government of Pakistan, Dr Amir had also been awarded an ‘Overseas Research Students Award’ by the Committee of the Vice-Chancellors and Principals, England. He accomplished his Ph.D. with an in-depth research in the marketing concepts with thesis topic ‘A Comparative Evaluation of Marketing Orientation and Financial Performance in Two Industry Sectors.’ Dr Amir has developed a number of case studies and has published his work in case research journals and has also contributed through chapters in books. A number of research publications are in the pipeline.
Dr. Irfan Amir has over two decades of academic and industry experience in marketing. He has worked for over 15 years with LUMS as Associate Professor. He has also worked for about four years in the industry -- two years with Habib Bank Ltd. and another two years with Millat Tractors.
With an exceptional spirit that demonstrates self-motivation, hard work and innovation, he has joined Superior to further the mission and objectives of the University. Dr. Amir envisions taking Superior University to ever greater heights of academic excellence. He plans to do this through a unique blend of strategic and operational planning and implementation.
