Islamic Scholarship as a Trust — Knowledge in Islam is an 'amanah' — a trust. MS Islamic Studies scholars at Superior University are trained to carry this trust with humility, intellectual honesty, and a deep sense of accountability to Allah, to the scholarly tradition, and to the communities their research ultimately serves.

Courage

The Courage of Ijtihad — Independent Reasoning — The Islamic scholarly tradition demands the courage to engage seriously with difficult questions, to apply sound methodology to contemporary challenges, and to offer reasoned scholarly positions even when they are nuanced or complex. Students develop the intellectual courage and methodological rigor to engage with contemporary Islamic issues honestly.

Competence

Advanced Islamic Research Scholarship — Students build advanced competence in Tafsir, Hadith criticism, Fiqh, Usul al-Fiqh, Kalam, Islamic history, and contemporary Islamic thought — alongside formal Islamic research methodology — producing scholars equipped for academic appointment, religious institution leadership, and original Islamic scholarship.
