Prof. Dr. Sumaira Rehman is a visionary leader whose journey embodies a fusion of academic excellence and entrepreneurial vision. As Pakistan’s youngest female Rector, she has pioneered remarkable strides in education and entrepreneurship. Notably, she achieved the distinction of being the first Pakistani woman to earn a Ph.D. in ‘Women Entrepreneurship’ from Middlesex University, UK.

Under Dr. Sumaira’s  leadership, Superior University is charting an ambitious course with the “Soar to Roar” strategic plan (2023-2028), backed by a substantial investment of over 42 billion rupees. This transformative initiative aims to propel Superior University into a premier research institution, fostering innovation and excellence across all domains.

Dr. Sumaira’s  influence extends beyond Superior University, as she holds esteemed positions in national organizations such as the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC), Accreditation Committee of Government of Punjab and expert member of Academic Committee of HEC Islamabad. Her contributions to the formulation of higher education policy and institutional development underscore her commitment to fostering educational excellence nationwide.

Her dedication to revolutionizing Pakistan’s academic landscape, coupled with her visionary leadership, ensures that Superior University remains at the forefront of innovation and excellence in education. Dr. Sumaira’s  extensive portfolio at the national level includes roles such as Member of the Higher Education Commission Pakistan, contributing to the formulation of higher education policy and quality assurance mechanisms, and serving on the Accreditation Committee for the Government of Punjab. She is also a key member of the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) Consortium on Entrepreneurship and serves as the Project Leader for initiatives like COMSTECH and Superior University’s 3U1M Program for the OIC Countries. Her leadership extends further as a member of the Academic Committee at the Higher Education Commission in Islamabad and as the Director of the Chaudhry Muhammad Akram Center of Entrepreneurship & Development (CMACED).
