Assalam o Alaikum!

It is my absolute Honour to Welcome you to the Superior Convocation 2023. It is truly an honour and I am truly humbled for your presence to celebrate the success of our graduates today. I wish to congratulate all the graduates who will be conferred with various degrees by the Chancellor today. On this occasion, I feel so proud and let me take this opportunity to share the journey of my success during the last 5 years which is not lesser than roller-coaster. Time flew so fast but the memories are still fresh.

As you all know, I joined Superior University with a mission that my university will not be the factory of unemployed youth, it will be the university which will convert human resource into human capital by nurturing youth to become Job-Creators rather than Job-Seekers. And having the background of Entrepreneurship, I always believed in the power of Entrepreneurship, and I designed and launched our very revolutionary Entrepreneurship Teaching and Training Program across the University with a mission to create entrepreneurial mindsets among youth to make socioeconomic impact to build economically superior Pakistan. Our unique approach to entrepreneurship education has not only transformed the entire university in five years but also has gained national and international recognition at various platforms.

Today, I want to tell you that our focus on students success has not only enabled us to bring more quality in teaching and learning but also guided us to bring more innovations and design-creative solutions to tackle some of more pressing challenge in terms of student employability and we were so fortunate to tackle this challenge through our very innovative 3U1M program, 3 years in University and 1 market intensive year has a promise not only to produce market ready graduates but also to nurture the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Let me proudly share that within 3 years of successful implementation of our 3U1M program, our 100 students startups are commercial, they have generated 900 new jobs and they have created 800 Million revenue. Moreover, our employability rate has significantly improved after this 3U1M program implementation, it has significantly improved from 70 percent to 90 percent and even in some departments it is even 100 percent especially in Mass Communication, Business Administration and Aviation Management and I believe that the credit of the success goes to committed faculty and deans of the respective departments.

Being Rector, I always believe in working in collaboration with my students as a partner of university development, that is why we designed various platforms for their meaningful engagements through students voice leader, clubs and societies to develop well-rounded graduates. Since the time I joined Superior University, I feel every day is a new day. We keep on thinking new ideas and ways how to improve our impact as a university and we never stop dreaming big for the university. So, we not only keep innovating our educational models but at the same time we improve our infrastructure, governance and leadership to ensure the quality of teaching and learning.

Dear Chancellor, I want to share that during the last 5 years, we have invested 600 million to improve the infrastructure of the university and 180 million has been invested on capacity building programs of the faculty and staff. And, in order to improve the access of education, scholarship of 1.6 billion has been awarded to deserving students during the past 5 years. For the general inclusion, scholarships of 350 million has been granted to female students only. Moreover, I feel proud in sharing that the superior university is now home of 13 nationalities.

Being Rector, I am also mindful for our social responsibility. Superior University has donated 46 million for flood relief under Mission Esaar Program initiated by APSUP. We also assured our solidarity with our Turkish people and we donated 6 million for earthquake victims.

Ladies and Gentlemen! due to all the impactful initiatives, I stand here with the great pride and pleasure to share that your university has been ranked number 1 private sector university in Pakistan by Times Higher Impact Ranking. As I walk across the campus, I feel so contented and proud that how far we have come but being rector, I believe there is still more to achieve. We never stop dreaming big for the university that how can we make Superior University more relevant and cutting-edge.

I believe universities are known for their research. So, once again we are setting new direction for the university. Our 5 years strategic plan Soar to Roar has a promise to make Superior University as one of leading research university of Pakistan by 2027, Inshallah.

Ladies and Gentlemen! All the developments that has been made in the last 5 years, I must appreciate and recognise the fact that it would have not been possible without the devotion, commitment and hard work of my amazing team of Deans, Head of Departments, Program Leaders, program incharges, faculty, students, alumni and of course my all admin and support teams. Thank you very much all of you for believing in my ideas and vision for Superior University. It would be unfair to move forward without acknowledging the unconditional support and patronage of our very dynamics and visionary leadership of chairman board of governors Prof. Dr. Chaudhry Abdul Rehman. I am truly thankful for his steadfast and inspirational leadership for building what we are today.

My dear graduates, today’s ceremony marks the completion of your studies but it is the beginning of whole new world of new opportunities to find your passion and to become a lifelong learner. I am 100 percent confident that your university has enabled you with all the skills needed to contribute in the society and at workplace. I urge you to become role model, work hard, never give up, live your life with dignity and respect. Remember, there are no shortcuts to success. Success comes with hardwork, persistent and honesty with your mission. So, wherever you go, show utmost honesty with organisational mission and live up their values because you have all the potential to create a difference in the lives of many and of course, definitely, this isn’t goodbye. Superior University is a community I want you to cherish and stay connected with us by joining our Alumni Association.

So, once again, in the end, I want to thank all those including your parents who have supported you throughout your journey and making you reach here today. So they truly deserve a huge round of applause.

I am delighted to welcome all of you to Superior Convocation 2022. I am so pleased that finally we can gather here in person, something we do not take for granted anymore. I warmly congratulate all the graduates on your academic success – the combination of many years of hard work and devotion.

Today, on this occasion, I want to share my story of devotion, persistence and hard work. I still remember the day, when I joined Superior University 5 years ago after completion of my PhD in Women Entrepreneurship; I envisioned that Superior University will not be the University of unemployed youth, it will be the University which will convert Human Resource into Human Capital to build Economically Superior Pakistan.

And the first step I took was to integrate Entrepreneurship Teaching and Training Program (ETTP) with a vision to enable and empower the youth with the creative and critical skills to innovatively design solutions for the community problems, and to add more values to the society. And within 5 years, Our unique approach to Entrepreneurship Education has not only bring many fold achievements especially in changing mindsets of students and faculty.

Although, there were many challenges, but our commitment towards students’ success has not only enabled us to overcome all the challenges but also guided us towards designing some creative solutions to ensure students’ success. And one of the notable innovations is our 3U1M program; 3years in Superior University followed by Project-Based Learning and 1 extensive year of Market followed by 3 career streams.

And I always feel so proud in sharing the success our very creative and experiential learning framework – 3U1M, that within few years, we initiated this program 2 years ago and now this program and generated 50 commercial businesses. It has created 500 new employment opportunities and generated 400 million of revenue, so that is the huge success. And if I talk about the employability, due to 3U1M program, our employability has significantly improved 70% to 90% within 2 years.

Since the time I joined, I feel everyday as a new day in Superior, because we continue to innovate our teaching and learning pedagogies and assessment designs. We always think of new ideas on “How to improve our impact as a university for the society!” During COVID, we invested 700 million to develop the state-of-the-art infrastructure and we also invested 300 million in our people to develop their capacity to lead into this digital era.

Considering the socio-economic changes and future of work, we are going to transform our Business School into first Entrepreneurial Business School in Pakistan with the committed industrial patronage and with the vision that this business school will produce Human Capital to promote the small and medium enterprises in Pakistan. I can proudly say here that we are the pioneer university which launched Pakistan’s first premier school of Culinary Art which awards degree in this field to produce nationally and internationally relevant graduates needed for the industry.

Being Rector of very vibrant and growing university, I still believe that the universities are known for their Research, that is why my priority for the next 3 years is to improve the landscape of Research by focusing more on applied research, so that we can add more value to the society and bring solutions to the societal problems. I always feel so proud that recently we have distributed Research Recognition Awards worth 6 million among faculty to recognize their research services for the university.

Our Eyes-High Research Strategy for 2025 is very promising and have very creative solution to make university, one of the leading universities of Pakistan and I assure you today that within few years, you will see Superior University as one of the leading research universities of the region, INSHALLAH!

My dear graduates, all the transformation that has taken place during the past 5 years, I must appreciate and recognize the fact that it would have not been possible without the devotion, dedication and hard work of my amazing team of Deans, Heads of the Departments, Program In-charges, Program Leaders and faculty members, THANK YOU VERY MUCH all of you for supporting me in my vision and dreams for Superior University.

My dear graduates, on this day today remember one thing, Education is about growth and enlightenment; is not just about grades. You have adapted and grown in these difficult times of COVID which has enriched you and added a very unique part in your academic success. You have struggled very hard, but remember that always trust Allah and always keep the prayers of your parents who have actually enabled you to reach this stage today. Live your life with dignity and respect. Work hard and never give up and remember that you are the prestigious treasure of Pakistan. You have all the ability and potential to create a difference in the lives of many. Because

Bismillah hir Rahman Nir Rahim. Honorable president EURAS Dr Mustafa Eiden distinguish guests my distinguish research delegates my dear faculty members Assalm-o-Alikum. I warmly welcome all of you in today’s conference. It is a matter of great pride and honour for Superior University to host the 9th consecutive international conference on management and research. Ladies and gentlemen this conference is a story of vision, dedication and team work. So, the basic objective behind today’s conference is to bridge the gap between industry and academia and provide a platform to connect with national and international researchers because they can reflect on the issues that are emerging in the emerging markets.

So, align with our vision we firmly believe that excellence is the key to success, and we strongly believe to achieve competitive advantage, excellence could be the one of the ways forward. I firmly believe that excellence is not about only the qualities, controls or the systems. It is way beyond then that it is actually  bringing excellence in each and every aspect of any organization be it a leadership strategy, people and processes SO I think there is a need and business excellence actually have a research implications and a researcher should be considering the answers for the common questions of how these high performance organizations are actually able to achieve desired results and what are the lessons we can learn from the best practices to actually leverage or to gain some results or to gain some experiences from their best practices to actually inculcate or to introduce the business excellence in the growing organizations of emerging markets. So, I think today’s conference is an initiative of ANCRD.

I really want to thank you our distinguish guests today for joining us today for this auspicious event and would also to appreciate the hard work and the dedication and commitment of the entire ICMR team for organizing such a beautiful event especially Mr. Kashif Mahmood Assistant director ANCRD Dr. Nadia, Dr. Shazia, Dr. Ilyas, the Dean of management sciences Dr. Raza Khan Sb and also, I’m very thankful to the director ANCRD Dr. Muqadas just putting out this beautiful show. So, I wish everyone good luck I hope you are going to have a very exciting day ahead.

I warmly welcome all of you in convocation 2019. Being Rector, it is great honor for me to preside this convocation. I am happy to see you all here gathered, to celebrate the success of our students. At Superior, I firmly believe that you are making significant contribution in the lives of thousands of graduates by facilitating them in realizing their purpose and their potentials. It is my vision to make Superior University, an Entrepreneurial University of Pakistan. It is such a great pride for me to share that significant transformations are taking place in our university to transform and prepare our graduates for the 4^th industrial age, the age of artificial intelligence and disruptive convergence of technology. Our distinctive approach towards entrepreneurial education and our unique entrepreneurial eco-system is enabling and empowering our graduates to become enterprising individuals in the society. Our focus on student success is what makes us superior because we believe in turning our students into super heroes, who can add value in the lives of others and who can make Pakistan an economically Superior Pakistan.

My dear Graduates, today’s ceremony marks the completion of your studies but it is a beginning of a whole new world of opportunities to find your passion and to become a lifelong learner. I am confident that we have empowered you with the skills, values and a mindset that can deal with challenges coming in your way. The degree that you are going to get today has not only prepared you for the great careers but have definitely has ignited a passion inside you to become and adding a meaningful contribution to this country and making it a better place for us and for the future generations.

My dear graduates, today I really want you to identify the core purpose of your life. I want you to ask yourself two important questions that how my story will be written and what will be my contribution towards my family, my university, community and the world around me. I urge you to be a role model, to serve with excellence and establish your superiority. This is your big day and we all are so proud of your achievements and I call each of you to step out with the confidence and passion; and play your role in making this world a better place.

Today, I really want to congratulate a real super hero of our university, the Chairman of The Superior Group for his steadfast and inspirational leadership for building what we are today. So, put your hands together for one and only Dr. Chaudhary Abdul Rehman. Thank you very much Sir for making us Superior.

Definitely, this isn’t a goodbye because Superior University is a community and I want you to stay with us by join Superior Alumni Association. I also wanted to thank those who have supported you throughout your journey and making you to reach here today. They are our staff, faculty, your friends and family so let’s thank them all, they all deserve huge round of applause.
