Optometrists are its primary guardians at the community level — the first point of contact for millions who may have undetected glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, or childhood vision problems. This program builds practitioners who take that responsibility seriously — screening with thoroughness, referring appropriately, and advocating for community eye health.

The Courage to Detect What Others Miss — A systematic, thorough eye examination can detect not just refractive error but signs of glaucoma, diabetes, hypertension, and neurological disease. Students are trained to examine with clinical discipline, trust their findings, and refer without hesitation when a patient's health demands it.

Full-Scope Optometric Clinical Competence — Students develop hands-on competence in clinical refraction, contact lens fitting, binocular vision assessment, anterior and posterior segment examination, glaucoma screening, OCT interpretation, low vision assessment, and community eye screening — producing optometrists capable of serving Pakistan's vast and underserved eye health needs.
