MS Linguistics students learn to approach language phenomena without prescriptive bias, describe linguistic reality as it actually is, and contribute findings to the scientific community with transparency.

The Courage to Challenge Language Myths — Many popular beliefs about language are empirically wrong. Students develop scholarly courage to challenge linguistic prescriptivism, correct language myths in public discourse (e.g., split infinitives, 'ain't'), and present counter-intuitive findings about how language actually works.

Advanced Linguistic Research Competence — Students develop advanced competence in linguistic theory, phonological and syntactic analysis, corpus linguistics, discourse analysis, sociolinguistics, language acquisition research, and formal thesis production — producing language scientists capable of contributing original research in linguistics, applied language studies, and language technology.
